I have always felt drawn to making connections through helping others. I have spent several years formally and informally providing care professionally and to family members, including a parent with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. After many years living overseas and experiencing healthcare systems in the UK and Norway and then Newfoundland, my family and I settled in Calgary a few years ago. I recently returned to education to earn another BA in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Aging and Health. My experience in caring for seniors and those with dementia combined with a background in event and project management led me to Proactive Seniors, and I am thrilled to be a part of the team
Outside of work, my husband and I love traveling and visiting family, as well as spending time when possible with our two teenagers, one of whom is studying in Nova Scotia. I love reading and crafts, and we enjoy living near the mountains and having opportunities to hike, snowshoe, fish and cross country ski.
